What the hell am I doing here? I couldn't tell you how I got here, or what's going on, but all I know is, I went to sleep last night, and woke up here. I opened my eyes and looked around. Looking around the room I saw a suspended ceiling, small metallic box on a counter, a desk not unlike that you'd see in a doctors' office, and the table I was strapped down to. Then, I heard something. The door was opening and two women dressed in white uniforms, they appeared to be doctors of some sort, came in. I didn't know what they wanted with me, so I feigned sleep.

"This is neurological research, number 193. Cathleen, would you set him up?" She wrote down some notes on a clipboard.

My eyes being closed, I couldn't see what was happening, but I felt small circular patches being attached to my head. This gave me concern. At once, I opened my eyes and asked, "What is this? Why am I here? What do you want with me?"

The woman standing near me sighed and said, "They always want to know, not that it makes any difference, right?"

"Where am I?" I asked, but to no avail. She ignored me, as if I were some inanimate experiment. I noticed the doctor she had called Cathleen was now finished attaching the equipment to me, whatever it was. ...
