Week end in Las Vegas

He really needed to stretch; 4 hours in economy class were starting to get to him. And the guy next to him was snoring up and storm and he really should not have had garlic for lunch. But he could not keep the butterflies from starting again in his stomach. He was really going to see her again, they had a thing in High School and he broke it off, and he still regretted treating her that way. He had been happily married for the past 20 years, he thought, but still something was missing. He had looked her up on one of those class reunion sites when he was really lonely. It was really good to talk to her again. The conversations had been great and he was glad to see she was starting all over again in Las Vegas. He had been there as things slowly unraveled for her in Dallas and watched her really succeeding in Vegas. He felt the plane start to make the descent to the airport. The scenery was so much different from his home back east, browns instead of green, mountains instead of rolling hills, a nice change he thought. It really was a nice thing that he had a chance to attend a teacher's convention that was going on in Vegas, and Deb was the one who was planning it.

The plane touched down and his anticipation increased, how would he look to her after all these years. They had a great amount of laughs years ago, would it be that way again? He walked out of the plane and there she was, waiting for him, the only change was darker hair and an aura ...
