A Weekend Getaway

Every other month or so, Dennis and I plan a long weekend away from work, away from the city, and away from people. We decided to include our playmate, "Dirk", on our last one. We rented an A-frame in the moun tains, complete with fireplace, deck, over-sized bath and king-sized bed. My weekends usually occur on weekdays (I work Saturday and Sunday) which is great...no crowds whatsoever!

We arrived late Monday night, a bit tired from the drive, but decided to enjou the star-filled sky from the deck and a couple of beers to wash down the trail dust. One of the things I love about the mountains, besides the clean air, is the multitude of stars visisble. We had been there for the Halle-Bop comet, and, it was spectacular! I hate living in the city!
