Everyone had finally gone to bed. I stayed awake reading a few pages from a good novel of a personal favorite author. I set the book down and enjoy the peace and quite. Realizing, that this is the first time I've been alone for a while, I decided to take a short walk. A park is just across the street. I'll be ok, someone here will here me if I need them. I slide my shoes on and step softly outside, trying to keep from waking anyone up. Once outside I race across the street and step onto the little path that circles the park. I stare dreamily at the sky as I pass a young man walking his dog.

"Nice night huh," he blurts out catching me off guard. "Sorry if I scared you," He chuckles as he notices me jump.

"No that's ok. Yes it is a nice night." I smile back at him and start on my path again.

"You here alone? You know it's not really safe for a beautiful lady like yourself to be walking about at night." He looked around seeing if there was anyone else around.

"I was just trying to cool off before heading to bed. I live not that far from here and thought a nice walk might help me to relax a littleh" I replied and again tried to go on my way.

"May I walk with you? My dog and I can take you home safely if that's ...
