He stood the in the doorway, unbeknownst to her, watching the expression on her face as she read what had been written on the monitor. A frown seemed to have settled there, along with a look of frustration.

Elaine had been working on this scene for the past two hours: writing, reading, and then deleting everything with an exasperated sigh. She had been so pre-occupied that she hadn't noticed Derek, her partner in life, who had been standing in the doorway for the past forty-five minutes.

Derek watched all this with growing concern. His wife seemed unusually stressed about this and this was something he knew he had to help her with. Smiling to himself, he left his post, making the preparations to relax his wife.

Thirty minutes later, Elaine was pulled from her concentration by a pair of strong hands massaging her neck. She closed her eyes, sighing deeply as the talented hands found the knotted muscles and relaxed them.
