Part 1 The Introduction

The day I joined Waggers I knew I was on a path that I could not reverse if I had wanted too. I had come from out of town and it was more than the best I could have hoped for when I was given a position in the men's wear store. When I fronted up for an interview, I was pretty desperate to find my first job and fortunately the proprietor took a shine for me.

Having heard my story he said that I could not only have a job but I could also live-in at his place. I had killed two birds with the one stone and was pretty happy with myself. It would have been practically impossible for me to stay where I was for much longer. The board and lodgings were too exorbitant.

It was a Saturday morning when Horse ushered me into his office and after the preliminaries, I gave him a run down on my life to date, as he was very interested to know my background. After he knew I had fallen on hard times and also needed accommodation, he seem to take pity on me and said that I could start right away.
