Jim walked down the sidewalk past the meter maid. She was writing a ticket for the car in the expired parking space. Cursing the meter maid on general principal under his breath, he vowed to do something to foil her next ticket if he could. It was then that he saw the sedan parked next to the meter flashing "Expired" in red. A man was in the driver's seat. Okay, Jim figured: I'd better warn him that the meter maid is coming down the block. He approached the car from behind and tapped loudly on the driver's side window.

"Hey, buddy! You'd better move this car! There's a meter maid writing up a ticket just four cars away!" The driver jerked his head towards the window as if he had been shaken out of a daze.

"Oh, Jim!...Uh, how are you doing?" the man sputtered in a familiar voice. Jim recognized the man. He had rescued and taken home the man's beautiful naked wife the week before.

"I'm doing good, Brian. How's Emily?", Jim said. Brian hesitated for a moment and cleared his throat.
