Saturday Night Rental

It had become a tradition, for at least the 2 years Amy, Ray, Tami and Scott had rented a couple of DVDs on Saturday evening. Usually it was a "chick flick" and a "guy movie" so everyone enjoyed the evening. One weekend would be at Ray and Amy's condominium. The other would be at Tami and Scott's house. Neither couple had any kids.

On a recent weekend however Scott had finally convinced Tami to let him buy a state of the art home theater system. Scott and Ray headed to the local electronics superstore and spent money like water coming from the tap. Candi the sales gal was in heaven. It seemed that all she had to do was point at piece of electronics and she made a sale. Before Ray and Scott left the store they had spend in excess of $50,000. Their list of toys was impressive.

HDTV plasma monitor, 80" no less. Two satellite systems with all the programming they can get. A DVD recorder and player. A digital home theater surround sound system with custom-made speakers. All computer controlled with professional installation. The new "toy" would be installed in few weeks. When Tami learned about the cost she about killed Scott, he would have to be extra nice for several months. Scott ad Tami were gone the weekend the professionals installed the new toy. The plan was to have a grand party.
