SNOWBOUND

I'm a 29-year-old gay-architect who lives in Denver but who likes to get out in the higher mountains every so often just to break the routine. I usually head for a really nice mountain lodge that I know that has great ski runs and fabulous hiking trails. I'm not a skier myself, but I do love the hiking trails. I'm about 5'9", weight around 180#, have long straight hair and pale blue eyes. I'm not a hunk but I've never been kicked out of bed before either! <grin>

The second day I was up there on this trip (alone because my sometimes lover couldn't match his schedule with mine this time) I dressed appropriate for the day, packed a light lunch in my backpack, along with a thermos of hot chocolate, and took off! The sky was overcast but the weather forecast had said that the likelihood of snow was remote until that evening so I wasn't particularly worried about that. The lodge had thoughtfully put markers every hundred feet or so on the trails pointing the way back to the lodge, so I didn't think I was running any risk of getting lost.

At noon, I stopped at a little shelter the lodge had built, had my lunch, drank some hot chocolate from my thermos, and headed on down the trail. In the space of a few minutes, however, the sky got MUCH darker and a light snow began to fall. Oh, Oh, I said to myself, so much for the local weather forecasts! I started to turn around and head back ...
