The Dinner:

We had been going out for about two months now and were no longer hiding our relationship at work. The rumors about the two of us in the elevator still float around occasionally but the gossip mill has managed to find other people to talk about. So, for the most part we are being left alone.

This weekend coming up was the two month anniversary of our first encounter. I wanted to do something special since we really didn't do anything for our one month anniversary. But what to do? I was still recovering financially from my time out of work so a trip was out of the question. Well, I guess that I had always been a pretty decent cook. So why not, time to have her over for dinner. And maybe some desert too I thought with a smirk. I thought about what to make as I made up a dinner invitation on the computer. Ok so lemme think. Something easy but good. I got it. I printed out the invitation, and looked it over. "You are invited to a special dinner reception in our honor. On the menu shall be: Caesar Salad, Chicken Parmigiana, Garlic Bread and a very special Desert. Time: Friday 7pm Location: My condo" I put the invitation into the envelope and dropped it in the interoffice mail box.
