Chapter 4 Concentration

The next few days, Father John took great pains to only teaching Sally her lessons, not engaging in any punishments or taking advantage of her. He found that this usually left the girls off guard. This gave them time to think about what had happened and the facts of what had transpired tended to get mixed up.
