My name is Nick Torrence and this is a story of the most incredible experience of my life.

I had just turned twenty-one when my family moved to Dallas, Texas from Chicago, Illinois in July 2002. My father worked for a large insurance company in Chicago and was transferred to Dallas to run the company's branch office. My mom was also in the insurance business having worked for several insurance agencies. She found a large broker to work for in downtown Dallas and would start there when we got settled in our new house. My older sister was married and lived in California with her husband and two kids.
