DOWN AND DIRTY

It was the early part of July and a time of the year that Gary hated with a passion. It was time for the quarterly meetings at work. He knew that it would mean long hours for him. It wasn't like he didn’t work hard enough as it was. It was however part of his job responsibilities as being the man in charge. He sat through the first meeting of the morning barely paying attention to what was being said. He had other things on his mind.

In the middle of the meeting the phone in the conference room rang. "I'm sorry to interrupt you Mr. Rogers but Ms. Sweets is on the other line and she says that she must absolutely speak to you." You are not sure what Tammy could want, as she never calls you at work. It must be rather important. She knows how busy you are and that you do not like being interrupted especially at this time of year. "That's OK Katie...I'll take the call." You look at your employees and tell them that you need to take this call. You do not leave the conference room but pick up the phone there. You are not prepared for what you hear as you pick up the phone.
