"You're listening to WLVE radio, radio Love, for the softest rock and sweetest music around." Laura pushed her straight blonde hair out of her face, already getting up from her seat as she adjusted the control panel for the short break until morning.

"We will be back on air at 5am with Will Hensen, and our usual forty minutes of music every hour on the hour. This is Laura B signing off." Click.

It wasn't far to go home. She lived right up the stairs from this radio station. 'Their' radio station hers and Ron's. Their station was on the second floor of this huge three story junkyard they had bought for a song. But the song had turned sour as they tried to fix it up. The building was a money pit.

Laura was only thirty, but she felt a hundred. Their radio business was barely making it, their house was a mess. Ron was a blessing and a hard worker but he had no head for money. She seemed to worry enough for the both of them.
