It was a slow Friday night. Three of my frat buddies and I were waiting for a movie to start and decided to catch a quick bite to eat. We walked into a fast-food joint down the street from the theater and, as a matter of habit, I scanned the dining area.

There were four women sitting in a booth not far from where we were standing. They all looked to be in their early twenties and, judging from the matching t-shirts they were wearing, all belonged to the same sorority.

We all got our orders and walked to a booth close to the door. Each of the guys glanced over at the sorority girls as they passed, and I noticed the girls watching the guys after their backs were turned.

"So what do you think?" I asked the guys as I sat down.

"They're all fru-fru," Jon said in between bites of his burger. "They couldn't hold anything if their life depended on it."

Jon must've said that a little louder than he thought (or maybe on purpose), because the chatter at the girl's table stopped instantly. There was a slight pause and I heard the quiet sound of sneakers behind me. Zane, sitting across from me and with a clear shot of the girl's table, arched his eyebrows, signaling that someone was behind me.
