I've spent the most of my life since the age of 18 serving in the military. It's not always been the easiest job but it has been fun more often than not. I've done things most people never even dream of. Several years ago I had an accident while doing maintenance on a vehicle. At the time I didn't realize how serious it was. Soon afterwards despite wanting to tough it out. I finally had to go to Sick call to see a doctor about the pain. Over the course of the next several years I would keep going to see a doctor of one kind or another. None could pinpoint my problem finally after several years I am at the point I am at now. I am about to be medically separated and now am going through the entire process of it.

I went to the normal briefing and then had my Medical examination scheduled. Something everyone over thirty has to have and what every person getting medically retired has to go through. First thoughts about this is "Fucking great!" I love my job I love training and bringing out the best in my soldiers. I didn't actually go to Iraq for the war but ALL of the soldiers I had trained did and made it back. I couldn't go because of what turned out to be a broken back but was more than happy to know that the soldiers I had trained and spent endless hours agonizing over them.

Anyway back to my examination. I showed up at 0700 for my Exam. Thinking ...
