The plane landed on the tiny island of Samos, after transferring airlines in Athens. Samos is one of the most picture-perfect islands in all of Greece. Even after flying for over 20 hours (due to some delays) I found myself ready to explore.

I took a taxi to the hotel, which sat up on the edge of a hill overlooking the bay below. Absolutely gorgeous is the only way to describe the view. If the rest of the trip had scenery like this my money was being well spent.

I was in Greece for a weeklong trip on a 51' sailboat. It was a tour company owned boat and this was one of their "singles" cruises.
