It was about 18 months ago, I didn't know how old she was. She was a slim girl with fair hair, Keri was her name. I met her at a hotel pool side party, I thought she was a young (trophy) wife to one of the senior managers of our chief supplier.

To start at the beginning, my company sponsored a party for suppliers and officials at a trade fair in London. It was a bit more interesting than the usual supplier affair as there were a balance of marketing girls floating around with the senior managers. For those of us who did not have partners, we were paired off with "marketing girls". It was made clear by our company that the girl was not an escort, but she would be introduced as your date if you did not have a suitable partner. Sounds a bit lame, but in truth we had done this before and it's amazing what a beautiful woman on your arm does to the client's perception of the company and your personal reputation. Thus the name "marketing girls".
