Casey was twenty two years old and single. . . .no boy friend, past, present or in the future, or so it appeared to her as she sat contemplating her life. Although she was unable to determine the exact reason, she was vaguely dissatisfied with herself and her station in life. Perhaps it was something in her personality or perhaps it was something about her physical appearance. . . . Perhaps she was a prude! "Yes, that was probably it," she thought.

She didn't want to be a prude but it seemed to be her nature. . . or did it? It was true that she had discouraged any possible suitors and had been busy with work and her university studies. There'd been no time for friends or friendships as she had worked towards her goal. Unlike most of her fellow students at the university, she received no money from home. Preachers didn't make the kind of money necessary to support a student at the university and she had to earn it by working as a waitress.

She'd enjoyed her time working as a waitress as it was also her only social life. It was there that she met and enjoyed people. She'd been desirable then. . . .a sex object on numerous occasions when students had approached her while they dined! Of course, she had rejected the offers. . . .she was simply too busy to get involved even if she'd allowed herself to become involved. ...
