My husband and I, and many of our friends are NASCAR fans. We love the sport and the thrill of a good race. Well, every year we attend Dover, Richmond, Atlanta, and Bristol, and I have a story to tell about a time I had at last year's fall Dover race when it wasn't just the cars that were racin'.

NASCAR is a sport of dedicated fans. Dedicated to their drivers and to their drinking. I love the noise, the crowds, and the whole atmosphere of a good race. My husband Bob, his friend Erick, and I left for the weekend loaded for fun, 5 cases of Bud, a cooler full of food, and high spirits.

We got to the track early on Saturday morning to watch the BUSCH race. It was exciting all the way down to the finish. Lots of crashes, even Dale Earnhardt Jr. into his buddy Matt Kennseth. People could not stop talking about all the thrills, it gets you pretty excited. The three of us consumed 2 1/2 cases of Bud that first afternoon. I was pretty buzzed up as were my hubby and Erick.

We walked back to our Blazer for some cooking out and more drinking. We ran into some friends and before long it was late into the evening. None of us were in any condition to drive, so our friends suggested pulling the Blazer over by their motor home and just crashing for the night in the SUV. I thought it was a good idea, wouldn't be the first time I slept in a car, and I figured we would need to be at the track ...
