Roberto Luis poured himself another cup of coffee and stood gazing out of the massive window inside his office. He was in a good mood, he even felt somewhat giddy for Susana was to arrive soon from her trip to Chicago. He hadn't seen her for over a week and he admitted to himself that he had missed her immensely. Although, he thought, it wasn't like she hadn't taken extensive business trips before, but for several weeks now, he felt a distance between him and Susana and that thought plagued him.

She hasn't been her usual self - happy, sarcastic and stubborn. She now had an air of silence, as if something has been bothering her and she didn't know how to tell him. Which was absurd, he thought. Susana knows by know to come to him if anything were bothering her. After all, they were best friends, having met one another in college when they were both majoring in international business. Friends had introduced them through a study group in the library and he remembered exactly his first impression of her - sassy. He grinned as he took another sip of her coffee. George, one of the members of a study group, had been teasing Susana aimlessly and she had simply come back with a sarcastic retort. Embarrassed when she realized that someone had been standing ...
