Caroline had taught music, piano to be specific, for the students at Holybridge school since she graduated from the conservatorium, which was 5 years ago now. Michael McLaren was by far her favourite pupil. His enthusiasm for music and his eagerness to learn gratified and satisfied her her love of the profession. But there was more to it than that, and Caroline was only just coming to terms with the fact that this boy attracted her physically. How damn ridiculous! For God's sake he's almost a child.
