We were about to embark on another crazy night. It has been about 2 years since we had gotten crazy drunk with our friends Justin and Sara. If you remember what happened last time you will understand why it has taken so long to get together like this again. If not read The Cookout. Since then my wife and I have had a daughter and Sara & Justin had a son. We have gotten together just to play games and talk, but nothing like the cookout.

We planned a weekend beach trip and rented a house together. We figured it would be a quiet relaxing weekend getaway and be able to have a few drinks without worrying about one of us driving. Friday evening was an unwinding night and we all just talked and caught up with the past. We had a few drinks together. I made some rum punch for all. It was definitely not where I wanted the weekend to go. We headed off to our rooms for the night at about 11:00.

The next day we spent an ordinary day doing the things any ordinary family would do at the beach. It was fun but not for this story. The six of us went out to dinner and came back and put the kids to bed. While the wives were taking care of them Justin & I made some more rum punch and started drinking. We made some guy talk but nothing much. We had our first one down by the time the girls got back so we all enjoyed a tasty beverage together.
