I pulled the car slowly over to the side of the road and shut the engine off. I glanced over at the passenger seat and smiled at him.

"Well, this is it. Nothing too fancy," I said.

He flashed me a quick smile as he began to make his way out of the car. I unlocked my door and managed to pull myself from the low bucket seat of my car. I sighed to myself softly and then playfully nudged him in the arm.

"Well, lets go," I said, walking up the pathway to my house.

I quickly adjusted the strap to my shirt as I caught him staring at me. A nervous smile displayed across his lips as I took his hand in mine to relieve some tension that both of us were feeling. I unlocked the door with my free hand and pulled him inside.

The house was quiet. Not a sound could be heard through out the stretches of walls and carpets. I let go of his hand and led him down towards the basement. The basement was dimly lit by a single lamp that was standing in the corner. I threw my purse down on the side table and told him to make himself comfortable and that I would be right back.
