Senator Thomas Williams was a second term U.S. Senator and he would be coming up for another run at a new 6-year term in about a year. He'd been a pain in the side of many in Washington and around the country for his increasing power and ability to make things work the way he wanted them to. In fact, in his continued successes in the Senate and the Washington scene, Thomas Williams had made a lot of enemies, some who would love to see him dead but short of that, they would at least love to see him ruined politically so he would have to leave the U.S. Senate.

Max Thornton was hired by several people who all had one common interest -- undermining Thomas Williams' political viability -- and he was given all the resources he needed to carry out their desired objective. Even more than his power and influence in national politics, they were afraid that Senator Williams was about to run for President of the United States.

Max set about making a plan work that he knew, if successful, would ensure the destruction not only of Senator Williams plans for the White House, but probably his entire political career. He took the money provided for him, and he managed to set up an arrangement where he'd be ...
