It was the last week of classes and Kelly had just gotten out of an exam and was walking back to her dorm to start packing up some of her things when her cell phone rang. It was Liz, she was crying as she announced that she had broken up with Greg and asked that Kelly come over.

When Kelly arrived at Liz's dorm it was evident that her roommate had already moved out, half the room had nothing but empty furniture. Liz's face was red and tear stained as she opened the door for Kelly who quickly set her bag down and gave Liz a hug. "Oh Liz, I know it's hard but you know it's for the best, you've been wanting to break up with Greg for awhile now," Kelly said, trying to console her best friend. The two girls moved to sit on the bed next to each other.

"I know, but it's still hard," Liz said, pouting. Kelly reached for a tissue and gave it to Liz and rubbed her friend's back while she wiped the tears from her eyes. The two sat there for a couple minutes in silence, Kelly rubbing Liz's back, Liz wiping each new tear from her face.

"I'm being so stupid crying over a guy!" Liz finally said, more to herself than to Kelly, breaking the silence. "NO! Well, OK maybe a little," Kelly responded, seeing a small smile form on Liz's face.

Suddenly Liz turned and kissed Kelly briefly on the mouth. She didn't know what she was thinking, or if she had really even thought about ...
