It was early in the morning on the last day of the school year. I had been up late studying and packing and although it was almost 2am and I was getting tired I was still restless. Most of my friends would be leaving later in the day and I wasn't looking forward to having to say goodbye. I looked out my window, which faces a large parking lot next to an athletic field and behind one of the dorm buildings. I could see Drew at the edge of the parking lot packing things into his car. He was planning on leaving early because he had a long ride home.

The last few weeks had been full of intense meetings for us. Although we had now been hooking up on a rather irregular basis for over a year, the past few weeks had brought us closer together sexually and emotionally than ever before. I was surprised by how sad I was that he was leaving; after all, we were not dating or seeing each other exclusively and we barely ever hung out except for when we wanted to hook up. I guess I was just disappointed that our amazing sexual adventures would have to be put on hold for a couple months until school started again.

I watched Drew walk back toward his dorm and disappear around a corner. I had to be at my final exam in six hours. The exam was at 8am and was going to be my hardest exam of them all. I knew that I should sleep but I couldn't relax enough to do so. I grabbed a sweatshirt and my keys and left my room.
