"No one seems to be home." Jeff Raines sighed, pressing his stubby index finger against the doorbell ringer again to no avail. It was a big house - a mansion almost - but someone would have surely answered the door by now if there had been anyone at home.

"Didn't your mother say that she gave the keys to him? What was his name?" Carly Raines asked her husband.

"Nick, Nick Davis. That's his name. And yes honey, Mom said that she gave the keys to him and that he would give the keys to us when we arrived." Jeff huffed, his hands on his fleshy hips. "And here we are and no fuckin' sign of Mr. Fuckin' Davis!" Jeff exclaimed, the Florida heat and his anger making his pale face turn red with color.

"Jeff! Watch your language." Carly exclaimed, but she was smiling. She had been known to swear some herself, although usually in bed. "I'm sure he can't be too far away, remember your Mom said he works from home. So I guess we'll just sit on your Mom's porch and wait for him." Carly said reasonably.

"Fine. Then we'll sit." Jeff said sulkily and lit up a Marlboro Light. ...
