[Author's note: I've been working on some stories for a time now that involve the same characters. They are set on an imaginary unversity in the UK. Chronologically this is not the first story, it's a second version of the first one that got finished. (I wasn't satisfied with the first draft so I withdrew that from the site.) When I find the time there will be a few more. Especially if you like this one, so I'd appreciate feed-back.]

Creative writing, part one

About a year ago I was appointed visting professor in business management at Bell University. Among the people I got to know quite well during my first months was my neighbour Robert, also a teacher at Bell. He lectures English literature and gives night classes in what he calls ‘creative writing'. A couple of years my junior, he is a likable fellow who allways has a good story to tell. As a result, I've enjoyed quite a few hilarious evenings with him.

A couple of nights ago he walked up to me in the pub, saying: "Vic, you've got to read this. It's a story one of my students just wrote for my creative writing class. It's porn! And it's rather good as well!" He handed over a folder with some typewritten pages in it. "Will you pease read it and then tell me what you think of it?" I could sense that, in spite of his usual relaxed behaviour, something about this paper was troubling him. My curiousity thus aroused, I started reading. ...
