Hopeless Romantic, Here We Go Again

I finally just gave up. I know you aren't ever supposed to just give up, but we all have a limit. I had exceeded mine. Once I realized this, it actually felt a little better. There was a sense of relief. When you have nothing more to lose, ya got nothing more to lose. Takes some of the pressure off.

If you don't want to listen in on my sad story, you have my permission to leave now. But none of this makes sense if you don't know the whys and the why nots, and I figure a happy ending can make a lot of sadness worth the price. So stick around if you will, and I'll try to make it worth your trouble.

Some people find the love of their life early. They fall for somebody in high school, get married right away, and stick it out for the duration. Got to admire folks like that, but that is not how the cards played out for me.

I got off to a slow start. Not one girl was interested in hanging out with me in high school. Being a dork had a lot to do with that. Being shy took care of the rest. I bloomed late, and didn't even realize it when it happened.
