The Beach

The sun was warm on his face as he lie back in the chaise. The breeze blowing from the Gulf washed over him and kept the heat of the sun in check. The sound of the waves breaking on the shore was soft and pleasant. Dave had been relaxing on the beach for about an hour and was dozing on and off in the tropical heat. This trip to Florida was such a relief from the hectic pace of his work. Here he could relax and let those breezes wash away his worries and cares.

Suddenly he was jolted awake. He raised his head and looked around. A woman was standing by his head beside his chaise.

"I'm so sorry." She had a startled look on her pretty face. Her auburn hair wafted gently in the breeze and she brushed it aside. "I was trying to move this chair. I didn't mean to bump into you."

"That's OK." Dave raised up on one elbow to look at her. She was about his height and trim. She had on a yellow bikini top and a skirt was wrapped around her waist. Her tan was set off by the yellow of her suit. She was very pleasant to look at. "Let me help you."

Dave stood and helped her move the chair. He slid it beside his and lay back down.
