Laura Lynn walked down the road towards home. Even the steady rain couldn't make her feel down on her birthday. She was finally legal and to top it off cheerleading was canceled and she was able to go home early. She had a big weekend planned with James Thomas when they go to Mobile for the state championship in three weeks and she had a lot of planning to do. She had her cousin reserve a suite on a different floor than the school floor so no one would catch them. Her cousin was going to check-in and leave the key for her. She still had to arrange for the food and wine. As she came in sight of home she saw James Thomas's truck in the driveway. What was he doing here? I don't usually get home for a couple of hours she thought. Then she realized mom must have invited him for dinner as a surprise. Two can play at that game she thought. She quietly came through the door expecting to find James Thomas waiting in the living room; she was going to sneak up on him. He wasn't there and they weren't in the kitchen either. Then she heard a scream from upstairs. As she walked up the back steps she heard voices from the front of the house. She headed down the hall towards the voices. The voices came from her mothers' room, the door was partially open. As she reached for the door she saw her mother in the mirror. Her mother was naked and she was riding James Thomas. Her chest began to hurt and she ran out of the house. The tears running down her cheek mixed with the raindrops.
