Lisa sat on their bed, silent, with tears running down her face. She had stopped in the middle of changing for bed. She had just undone her bra when she started crying. She sat on the edge of the bed, head hanging, arms limp, with her bra still cupping her breasts, straps slipping off her shoulders. She closed her eyes as the tears dripped onto her thighs, leaving puddles on her skin.

When she sniffed, Jamie noticed her posture. He sat on the bed beside and saw the tears. “Honey?” He got no answer so he tried again, “Lisa? Baby what’s wrong?”

Suddenly Lisa began to wail, huge heaving sobs. She threw her arms around Jamie’s neck and held on tight. “OH JAMIE!!! “ she wailed.

Jamie tried to push her away a little so that he could see her face, but she had a death grip on him. She cried even harder. He just stroked her hair and back till her sobs subsided to hiccups. :Now,” he said, “what has got you so upset?”
