Why am I doing this, were the only words that kept repeating in my mind as I stared at the back of Tori's blonde hair. I closed my eyes and shook my head slowly, trying to fight off the growing sense of nervousness and the beating of my heart. The plan was working exactly as Pete had wanted it and he, Tori, and I were on our way back to our apartment alone.

How did I ever get myself into this? I said again and dropped my face into my hands. I was buzzed, tired, and feeling like nothing good was going to come out of the night.
