I have never been this frightened and excited at the same time. As the elevator doors open on the 12th floor, I see the very plush reception area. It is beautiful. Antique rugs over polished hardwood floors. Deep rich fabrics cover the heavy waiting room furniture while the gold lined black shades of the lamps cast a warm glow on everything. Tucked in a corner near a set of double wooden doors is the receptionists desk and a dark haired dainty woman rises to meet me.

"You must be Ms. Kelly. I am Liz. Mr. Stevens told me you would be coming by this afternoon. Is it still cool outside?"

"Yes, it is a little cooler than normal but with the sun out for a change, who can complain."

"I agree. I was beginning to think the sun would never shine again." Liz giggled slightly and then stepped around her desk.

"Mr. Stevens asked me to give you this note and show you to his office. He was held up at his lunch meeting and is on his way back as we speak." As she opened the dark wooden doors to his office I felt my breath catch in my throat. The waiting room was nothing compared to the splendor of his private retreat. Two full walls of windows allowed the sunlight to enter this space slightly through the tiny micro blinds that separated this space from the world outside.
