As my Freshman year of college began winding down last April, a lot of beer, partying and an endless haze of female coeds behind me, I was sobered up a little when I saw what my semester grades were going to be. I decided that I better take the summer to at least find something to do that would help give me some experience for the future, as well as showing my folks I was somewhat serious about actually getting a degree.

As an undergrad at West Chester, which is about 25 minutes west of Philadelphia, studying Media Arts, I inquired into several TV stations and newspapers in the area, but all thier spots were filled. When a friend of mine landed an internship at QVC, whose studios are just a few minutes from campus, I begged her to get me on there. Apparently they had a great need at QVC for product movers, production help and gofers because I was quickly accepted as well.

Like most channel surfers, I had seen QVC at times during my travels up and down the dial, and frankly I laughed more than a few times at some of the totally ridiculous stuff they try to sell at all times of the day and night. What I also noticed during those trips by QVC was a few of the very attractive and well spoken female hosts that present the products as well as a few of the pretty models that helped in presenting the fashions on TV.
