My boyfriend Tom said he'd buy some tree's and shrubs for my yard, but had no way to haul them home, so I suggested calling our mutual friend Chuck. Tom thought it was a great idea.

A couple of days went by before I was able to reach Chuck, but when I finally did, he said he'd be happy to take us (Tom and I) to pick out some tree's and shrubs and would bring his pickup truck to haul them back with. He even offered to dig the holes and do the planting for us.

Today was the only day that would be convenient for Chuck, as he apparently was booked way ahead by other friends of his that were moving, etc. You know how it is, if a person has a truck, he's everyone's friend, and outside of helping them move things, those same people hardly call or get together any other times.

Chuck arrived on time around noon. He asked where Tom was, and I told him that Tom was unable to get the afternoon off from work, even though he is the CEO of his company.....Sometimes things just work out that way.

Chuck said as long as he'd be doing this for free anyway, us being friends and all, and since Tom wouldn't be going along, how about me wearing those new cut-off shorts that he'd brought over a couple of days ago. Naturally I had to tell Chuck that there was bright sun ...
