Jack decided it was time to stop sitting around the house, waiting for the phone to ring. It had been two months since he and his wife Donna had seperated and he had all but given up hope that she would call him and tell him to come home. He had not known another woman's touch for eight long years and couldn't bare the thought of it now. He had been faithful to his wife and insisted that until the divorce was final, he would continue to be. He knew that it would take years, if ever, before he would be able to replace her and had no intentions of trying anytime soon. After a shower, he dressed in his nicest clothes and headed for the door. He didn't even know for sure where he was heading but knew that if he didn't get out of the house that he would just have another breakdown when he tried to sleep alone.

He headed down town to where all of the people that where damn near young enough to be his children went to have a good time. He was feeling incredibly old even though he had only just celebrated his 30th birthday two months earlier. It wasn't the number, but rather the mental exhaustion he felt because over his current situation that made him feel this way. How do you start over at 30? He wasn't going to worry about. He had been depressed for far too long and even though he was venturing out alone for the first time in his life, he was determined to have a good time.
