HUMPING HOUSEMATES

Last summer, I jumped at the chance to share a four-bedroom house on the beach at Key Largo with eight people, four women and four men. The plan was to have two people of the same gender sharing each bedroom. I live and work in Miami, so I planned on making the fifty-mile trip on weekends. A few of the lucky ones, teachers on their summer break, intended to stay there full time.
