It was the middle of a new work week, and so far things were going well.

Sara smiled at Kai as she walked past him later that morning. She was sent upstairs by her supervisor to pick up a file, which meant she would walk right by Kai's desk. It had been a while since their last lunch together so she decided to ask him to join her.

He was on the phone when she came back through, so Sara grabbed a notepad off his desk. She jotted down her message and waited.

Forgot my lunch today, would you like to go somewhere to get lunch with me? You know I hate dining alone.

He added his reply to he pad.

How about The Cafe? Meet me at my car at noon.

Kai looked up for her reply. She nodded, before heading back downstairs. After handing over the file to her supervisor she got busy with her own work and customers.

She met Kai a few minutes after noon. "I hope I didn't screw up any previous lunch plans."
