SWAPPING WIVES IN PARADISE

I would like to tell you about an exciting experience my wife Debbie and I had recently. After four years of marriage, we finally managed to arrange a vacation. After looking through literally hundreds of brochures, we settled on Freeport in the Bahamas. It proved to be a good choice. Our luxurious hotel with its long, sparkling beach and fabulous food, was just what the doctor ordered for a pair of tired workaholics.

On the first evening, we met an attractive couple playing Roulette in the casino. "I've got a strong hunch," Debbie said. "Bet on number twenty." The man immediately put a ten-dollar chip on twenty, and it hit! His ten dollars was now several hundred.

"You must let us buy you a drink to thank you," the charming man said. We accepted, even though meeting people had not been part of our plan. If we hadn't, there probably wouldn't be a story to tell. Robert was a very distinguished-looking man in his forties, with a slight touch of gray in his beard. He looked familiar, and it suddenly dawned on me that he was a writer whose photograph I had seen on dust jackets. I recalled that he was some sort of self-help guru, although I hadn't read any of his books. ...
