It had been way too long since Terri and I had been alone together as a couple. With two active kids in school and their extracurricular activities, we barely managed to find time for an occasional dinner date. With two careers and the pressure to do well, it was getting too easy to keep putting off time alone, since there always seemed to be something else that seemed to take priority over time for us. We kept promising each other we would make time for ourselves, but there never seemed to be enough time.
