The Banker - Her View

Teresa felt like a flower choked by the surrounding by weeds. Her career and professional life was a vacuum sucking up any semblance or hope of a real life. She had worked hard, achieving success in the banking world, which was typically a man's world, filled with the good old boys. She had met her goals and continued to raise the bar as far as her business life, but it was at the sacrifice of her personal life. Of course, it was difficult to have a personal life in her line of business. To be successful in the private banking world, you had to go out to where the successful clientele were at. Receptions, dinners, luncheons, breakfast meetings, belonging to the right private clubs, civic and social service organizations. All of these activities left very little time for a social life. On top of that, most of the people she encountered in life were in at least their mid-40's, with most being in their 50's and 60's.

Teresa was in her early-thirties, bleached-blonde, with a great body. She knew she was not Cindy Crawford, but she also knew she turned more than her fair share of heads. Her dating life was sporadic, mainly due to time constraints, but mostly due to her choosiness. At times, she questioned herself as to whether or not she was too choosy. It seemed that all of the "good men" in her target age group were already married. Also, she had learned the art of tactfully deflecting the constant stream of passes made at her by her world of dirty, old rich men. It was a frustrating feeling, but she didn't have the time or the inclination ...
