TEASING THE GURU

I saw The Guru again yesterday. We had been building up to this meeting for a while. I had mixed feelings about seeing him sexually but still wanted to see him nevertheless. We met at the subway. He looked like a little boy ready to go play in the snow in his ski jacket. We were supposed to go to a Christian Revival Meeting, which he was leading. The CRMs were held in the seniors building of Earl Bales Park. We had started our physical relationship in that very place. First with innocent hugs in late summer, Then Rolling around in the ravine out back in the sunlight of late fall. Now the snow was flying, powder snow was all around, and it was freezing below zero. I wondered if anyone would even show up in this weather. In weather that was so cold my bum froze to the car seat.

We went to the small cosy building where seniors socialised and did arts and crafts during the week. And I remember the many other meetings I had had there, the deep spiritual discussions and the people who had passed through these doors. And all the times that I had watched The Guru (that is what they called this Spiritual Master) from across the room. Watch his glowing eyes, his sexual gait, his intensity. Watched him watch me.
