Learning the Ropes

"Nice apartment. Very cute." I said as we stepped in and shook off our coats. He hung them up and flashed me a smile that made me blush. He knew, I know he knew. I came here with the intent that this would be a friendly stay over, but Alex knew if he tried anything I wouldn't deny him. I couldn't deny him. I was in love or at least seriously infatuated and had no clue how he felt.

"Would you like a tour?" he questioned. I nodded while he took my hand, not really giving me much of a choice. Alex showed me the kitchen, the bathroom, the living room, and lastly the bedroom. The apartment was very quaint for a man living alone, till you got to the bedroom. The walls were an off white and completely bare. He had one decrepit dresser pushed against the wall by the closet and a small turtle lamp on the floor. And in the middle of this sea of nothingness was one lonely full sized bed complete with ice blue sheets. It gave me chills just looking at it. The room just felt so...cold. I asked to use the bathroom and with his permission I darted out of the room.

A minute or two later I came out to find him on the couch watching television. I sat down beside him and got settled. The show was only mildly entertaining and I found my attention drifting.
