"I haven't written in a long time and recently an online friend of mine asked me to write a story involving her. This is that story. It's a bit quick and simple, but was fun to write and hopefully will leave me inspired to write more soon. Thanks for reading, let me know what you think". Josh

It was early morning on a Friday. John found himself sleepy and fighting a headache. He'd been up the entire night working on his latest manuscript. Well maybe working was putting it a bit strongly, struggling was probably more along the lines. The manuscript was long overdue and his publisher was breathing down his throat for it to be turned in, yet he was far from being done. He looked at the clock and seen 7am. He sat back in his chair and rubbed his eyes sighing to himself. He needed a break, to get out of the house for a short while and collect his thoughts.

He was new here in Blazing Falls, and since he'd arrived most of his time had been spent working. He'd had little time to get out and see the town as of yet. He decided that a drive into town to look around would do him good. He gathered his jacket and keys and headed off.

On his drive he tried not to think much about his book, but instead focused his attentions on the world around him. He noticed the leaves gaining color on the trees as spring took its hold. The last of the snow seemed behind them, not that he minded the snow, it made it easier ...
