There I was, at the age of 18, last year of school, and still a virgin. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't the sort of guy who would turn down a date, nor would most girls turn one down with me if offered. I was just a shy individual around those I didn't know too well, and this lead to my becoming good friends with girls before making any moves, and by that time they knew me too well as a friend anyway. So I was too slow to make my moves, or too nice initially, whatever. That's not the story you want to read, is it?

A little more about myself before I continue. I was an avid rower at my school, leading to my high level of fitness and a lean, muscular physique. Combined with (Australian rules) football and middle distance running in the winter season, I was quite the sportsman - and nobody really cares about my academic and cultural domain highlights anyway! With dark hair, deep brown eyes and a chiselled jawline, there was nothing too special about my face, but that didn't worry me in the slightest. And standing around 6'1, a decent height, I didn't dwarf anybody, but wasn't too short for any of the tall girls around!

Enough about me, on with the story. It was the final week of the summer holidays before returning to school for our final year, and I was bored. Oh, was I bored! It had been six long weeks of tremendous heat under the Australian sun, with little or no relief at night.
