The Secluded Cove

They say money can't buy you happiness, although one thing it can buy you is memories that will last a lifetime.

Since the age of 18, I had been a low stakes gambler, I gambled on everything, Dogs, Horses, Football. You name it I would have a bet on it, although as my shift patterns were always changing, I never really got the chance to bet as much as I liked.

That was until the advent of internet betting, by the time I hit 24, I was betting 3-4 times a week. As I had an office job and my own laptop, I would connect to the net and place my bets during my lunch break.

No more going out in the pouring rain to place bets. On the whole I didn't really lose very much money, I would lose a couple of days then gain it back on the third or fourth day. Okay so I dreamed of winning big, just enough to keep the wolves from the door. But in the back of my mind I knew that I didn't have that kind of luck.

But as most bookmakers will tell you every gambler has a plan on how they will win, mine was a 12 bet accumulator, for the small stake of 1 pound I could have the fun of watching my bets run. Although, if I ever got all 12 up, I would be looking at a return of several thousands of pounds minimum. ...
