So every year, Wally has a company Christmas party, and it's always about two weeks after new year's. We didn't get to out for New Years' because I had to close and he had to open to next day.

It was Saturday night, and I was dressed appropriately; a long denim skirt, a pair of brown clogs and a form-fitting black and white spiral patterned v-neck shirt, and had even put on make-up for the occasion. (I'm a pretty low-maintenance gal)

We sat across from Matt and his pseudo-girlfriend Erica, and we chattered quite in a lively manner, me catching up with Erica on dirty sign language as I hadn't talked to her in a year, and she'd graduated from sign langauge classes in college.

I sat across from Matt - whose brother I used to go out with, and who shares a birthday with my husband - and he started telling me this story about Brandon and Carrie. Brandon works in the meat department and him and Carrie have a band. They've been dating for 10 years, and still haven't married.
