I met Nikki just three days past my thirtieth birthday. She was twenty-four at the time, single yet living on her own. I was new to the upscale neighborhood in Central Florida. The lots were large and houses were far enough apart that it didn't feel cramped. However, this wasn't a deterrent to the neighbors being nosy and into everyone else's business. Most of the people who resided there were doctors or lawyers, and most of them were over the age of fifty, with housewives who tended to carry around small yippy dogs, that my rotwielers looked at as dinner.

My moving into the neighborhood seemed to be a big deal, as I didn't fit their mold. I was neither a doctor nor a lawyer. Instead I made my money by starting an internet business which I turned very lucrative after which I sold it for a goodly amount. I could easily live comfortably for some time to come. Of other concern to my neighbors were my two large Rottwielers, who could easily swallow their precious little yapping dogs with one bite. My yard was completely fenced however, and the dogs really had no desire to escape.

The third and probably largest annoyance to my fellow neighbors would probably have been my Harley Davidson motorcycle. Its thunderous roar as I cruised along the streets of the neighborhood at early morning hours seemed to annoy the living hell out of my neighbors. However, if it were not for my bike I'd probably never have met Nikki.
